“One Christian is no Christian, for we cannot be Christian alone – we

are created for community.” Of course, Jesus said this another way, saying that where two or three are gathered in his name, he is there with them.

 

Welcome! Thank you for checking out our Middleville UMC website. I am Pastor Ron Worley, and I am excited to be a part of such a vibrant and loving church community. In today’s world many are suffering and in need of such a community for support. When I feel uncertain about myself or the world around us, I like to remember the words (from an unknown author): “God didn’t promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, or sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way. If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.” 

 

Scripture reaffirms this saying, “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” (Deuteronomy 31:8-9) and the words of Jesus, “And lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” (Matthew 28:20

Christ is the head of the church and all of us are his hands and feet in the world today. That’s what Middleville UMC does well; help bring others through “it” by sharing Christ’s love and compassion with others.
